Hands in the air, it’s Founder’s Day! An annual tradition, Founder’s Day is a day for students to let loose and have a little fun. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best, but it didn’t stop us from looking hot and feeling festive. Actually, the drizzle almost fit the theme perfectly: Under the Sea.

Jonathan is a sophomore, born and raised in Flushing, Queens, New York. As a Greek and Roman Studies major and a Sociology correlate, he simultaneously studies the really dead and the really alive. His style varies, ranging anywhere from Korean Minimalist Fashion to “Look Sporty Without Actually Being Sporty” (think Tadashi Hamada from Big Hero 6). His love for dressing up probably stems from the hours he spent as a pre-teen playing Maplestory, Neopets, and Animal Crossing.
Ezra is a freshman from California and his interests are music, philosophy, and literature. He enjoys swimming in the ocean, which he did often in California, a loss he is bearing still, for the Hudson, magnificent as it is, does not compare.
Odis is a philosophy major and he currently doesn’t know what to do with his life. He lives for the tentative “are you guys related?” remarks that are frequently directed towards him and his brother, and relishes politely clearing up any confusion and offering comfort to confused onlookers and acquaintances alike.
Payton is from Dallas, TX and an Italian major with a Film minor. She has always had an affinity for Edie Sedgwick’s style during Andy Warhol’s Factory Era. Fun fact: her wingspan is 2 inches longer than her entire body.

Adam is a bewildered freshman from Connecticut who hopes to major in Urban Studies or Studio Art. His fashion inspiration comes from Wong Kar-wai movies, Green Day songs, and his passionate 7th grade love affair with the Twilight Saga. In his free time he likes to draw, trip over his own feet, and pretend he likes to hike. He also apologizes for not looking you in the eye. Adam did a capella in high school if you can imagine that.
Carrie is a junior International Studies major hailing from Poughkeepsie, NY (you may have heard of it). Inspired by a character on Disney Channel, she wore only black for the entirety of 2001. She’s mellowed a bit since. Now, Carrie derives her fashion inspiration primarily from French women’s wear, Deborah Thornberry, and the closets of people she once dated. On an average day, you’ll find her struggling to balance a cigarette, phone, and caffeinated beverage between two hands.
Alice is currently a junior from Seoul, Korea majoring in Economics, hopefully with a French double major. Having played the violin since she was 36 months old, Alice considers music as her second language. She likes fashion because she thinks it enables us to project our ways of life & ideals on our outward appearances – though when she shops she admits that she’s pretty instinctive. Alice’s recent haircut was inspired by a Japanese fashion model Kiko Mizuhara.
