The theme and weather for this year’s Founder’s Day couldn’t have been more fitting after the unusually long winter. For Founder’s Day 2017: Flora & Fauna, the campus was in full bloom as students dressed up in florals and festive colors to celebrate the annual tradition.

Model: KerryAnn Millin (Mills)
Mills is a sophomore from Swaziland in Southern Africa. She is as indecisive about her intended major and life goals as she is about her fashion goals. Granny chic, bohemian hippy and dad’s old shirt all blend together in a typical week. Drawing inspiration from her empty wallet, her look mainly comes from thrift stores or generous relatives and friends, but there’s always guaranteed to be bright colours and patterns complemented by the pop of her signature red hair.
Zechariah is a rising junior from Los Angeles, CA. He loves film, photography, and music, and aspires to make a positive difference in the world. He gets all of his style inspiration from his mother. (Thanks, Mom!)
Kali is a junior Sociology major with an Africana Studies correlate and from Baltimore. She enjoys writing, Baltimore Club, Criminal Minds, and breakfast. She usually plans her outfits from the sneakers up.
Hands in the air, it’s Founder’s Day! An annual tradition, Founder’s Day is a day for students to let loose and have a little fun. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best, but it didn’t stop us from looking hot and feeling festive. Actually, the drizzle almost fit the theme perfectly: Under the Sea.

Christine and our co-founder Nicole met in Hong Kong when they were just eight years old. We had a blast wandering around the Village catching up with her during this shoot.
