Model: Cyrus Cohen

Cyrus is a sophomore from New York City. He is a film major and hopes to either edit narrative films or write JSTOR articles on competitive reality television. Cyrus’ interest in fashion stems from both an adolescent and current love for dressing up and then poorly taking care of his Sims. He often wonders who let the fashion of the early 2000s happen, and if that person will ever strike again.

Kirk enjoys asking life’s hard questions while seeking beauty in all of its myriad forms. His style is inspired by blending the challenge and rebellion of Westwood and Kawakubo with the classical confidence of Chanel.

Models: Jordan Ross and Iyana Shelby

Jordan is a double major in Sociology and Chinese, Class of 2016 from Singapore. Her fashion inspiration used to be a blogger who goes by Rinny Riot, but more recently she has been into the blogger Robynthebank. She only realized this year that she could walk around in platforms and not eat concrete. Jordan does not consider herself fashion oriented at all: “I wear what I like and what feels good.”

‘Iyana’ is a short story portraying life as human trash. When she’s not figuring out what black item to wear off her floor, she’s attempting to maneuver Vassar College as ya #1 sad shawty. When she’s not looking mean as she walks through the Retreat, she’s chilling memorizing neurotransmitters as a Neuro ’16 major.

Model: Miranda Fetterman

“My aesthetic is somewhere between ‘Chico’s mom’ and ‘Warped Tour Lolita,'” says Miranda, a freshmen from Hudson, Ohio. She’s usually inspired by specific pieces that she finds- the Vietnam jacket, the tall socks, a great pair of boots- and rearranges her existing wardrobe around the new staple pieces. She loves how fashion gives her the freedom to turn elements of what she was forced to wear as a kid (pleated kilts, knee-high socks, saddle shoes etc.) into vehicles of self-expression and individuality.
